6 Music Festival Must-Haves with Phaith Montoya

There’s something about music festivals that feels electric—the energy, the music, the freedom to just be. I consider myself a festival girlie through and through, and my love affair with them started in 2019. Since then, festivals have become my annual ritual, due to some amazing music festival must-haves. But it wasn’t just the music that made me fall in love—one unforgettable weekend in 2021, under the starry Las Vegas sky, I found love in a completely unexpected way.

It was an R&B and hip-hop festival, and some of my favorite artists were performing. I was going, and my best friend (and crush) wanted to go as well, so of course, I invited him with me. Three days of dancing, sweating, and vibing later, the desert night turned cold. He wrapped his arms around me, and just like that—our friendship became something more. We’ve been together ever since.
