Lily Collins Is Back in Character for ‘Emily in Paris’ Season Five With a Whimsical Pair of Max Mara Boots
Emily is now in Venice.
Lily Collins, who recently lent her modeling talent to a spring 2025 Calvin Klein campaign, was filming in the floating city on Monday for Season Five of Netflix’s “Emily in Paris,” and her outfit offered a glimpse of what’s in store for her character from a sartorial perspective.

On Monday, Collins was on set wearing a signature Emily look — a feminine ensemble playing with pattern and color contrasts. This theme extended down to her footwear, as the actress took on the streets of Venice in a pair of vibrant knee-high boots from Max Mara.
A closer look at Lily Collins’ shoes.
Her shoes made a statement with a white and gray floral design against a black backdrop. The boots were lifted up by a block heel, offering Collins a bit of extra security in her European adventure. Printed and patterned boots are making a statement this year, whether it’s been a concertgoer wearing animal print boots to Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour or SZA donning floral Roberto Cavalli boots for “The Jennifer Hudson Show.”
The eye-catching print of Collins’ Max Mara boots added another visual element to an ensemble featuring white shorts, a classic black and white striped top and a cropped jacket with a geometric pattern bringing a light green hue to her palette. She also toted a Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello bag crafted with grained leather.

Lily Collins discussed the wardrobe of the series at a panel in September at the Paley Museum called “Emily in Paris: The Magic Behind the Scenes.” She shared at the panel, “Every season starts with two days of eight-hour fittings. So I have 16 hours of fittings — a record-breaking 81 looks in those two days this year. And some are commissioned, some are vintage, some are from collections of a time-gone-by, some are unknown designers that [Fitoussi] found in her DMs, some are well known designers. The list goes on and on.”
“Some are pieces from my wardrobe. We all bring our own ideas. We bring people, we bring family heirlooms, we bring gifts we want to wear,” Collins also explained. “And [Fitoussi] has such an identity for each of us that we have added to throughout the years. You can clearly go into a room and go, ‘That’s definitely for Mindy, that’s definitely for Bruno, that’s definitely for Samuel, that’s definitely for Philippine.’ You know who everyone is so well this time in a fourth season…We know ourselves even better. And she’s so open to having that collaborative nature with us.”
