The Fly

The Fly

The fly, which draws invisibly, cuts left,

then left, then left, then fails to complete

the pattern only it can see, an imperfect iteration

of the ideal, a shape which, for it,

may be nothing more than broken strings

of chemical fire, unevenly lit

along the nerve strands of its wings.
