Yahoo Mail Unveils AI Mobile App Feature and Collabs With Anti Social Social Club
Yahoo Mail has unveiled its latest artificial intelligence feature, “Catch Up,” exclusively for the email provider’s mobile app on Apple’s iOS and Android app stores.
The tech company has teamed up with streetwear company Anti Social Social Club on a limited-edition apparel collaboration in celebration of the new launch, with the collection being dubbed the “Anti Email Email Club.” The collection includes a T-shirt and sweatshirt. Yahoo Mail teamed up with viral comedian Morgan Jay for the apparel collaboration for a new campaign video, showing Jay managing his incoming emails.
Yahoo Mail said the new tool is a reflection of the ways that people use email to manage their time, with the company’s internal data showing that nearly half of Yahoo Mail users today are Gen Z or Millennials. A new survey conducted by Pollfish, on behalf of Yahoo Mail, polled 500 Millennials and 500 Gen Z in the U.S. The study found that 70 percent of respondents reported checking their personal email multiple times a day, with half of the people polled saying they’ve missed important events due to a disorganized inbox.
The new AI feature was created by Yahoo Mail to simplify the user’s management of inboxes, allowing users to catch up on their unread inbox in seconds. The tool is the first of its kind from email providers. Moreover, the AI-powered summaries give users scannable email previews and the option to delete or keep them in their inbox, with a game-like experience.
