Yet, allow me to prove to you why a crisp, crunchy scent offers a summer-inspired upgrade on the clean perfumes we know and love.
Firstly, let’s get to the bottom of what exactly a crunchy perfume is. You know the feeling you get when you bite into a crisp green apple, or feel the snap of a stick of celery between your teeth at the family BBQ? It’s that crunchy freshness, bottled. While sharp bitter orange and lemon are undoubtedly the heroes of this scent, what gives these notes their true crunchy quality is the addition of peppermint and rosemary. Green and fresh in their application, they work to pull out the tangy elements of the citrus notes, providing a cleanliness that I can’t get enough of. When it comes to the best crunchy perfumes, however, you’ll be hard pressed to find better. Sharp with fruity notes of green apple and grapefruit, it comes at you strong before settling into a more calming base of watery cucumber and sweet tuberose.
