Andrea told: “Nathaniel Rose planned a trip to Spain with the intent to propose during this trip, but disguised it as a normal vacation. I always tend to plan the trips so as not to raise any suspicion. He had me plan the trip like usual, but he made sure that on the second-to-last day, we went on a catamaran sunset sail and reserved a rooftop dinner afterwards overlooking Barcelona on a mountainside. Nate was holding onto the ring the entire trip in his satchel, and I had no idea. I should have suspected something since he never let his satchel leave his side- even when taking photos. He was waiting until the perfect moment to propose and ended up proposing to me while we were sailing on a 25-foot catamaran in the Balearic Sea in Barcelona at sunset. I had no idea that he was planning on proposing, so I was in disbelief. Despite my shock, the proposal could not have been more perfect. Afterwards, we went to dinner and he told me about his plan going into the trip, and we debriefed about everything, including how he was so terrified about losing the ring and dropping it on the boat.”

Andrea, the bride, had always envisioned wearing a princess-style A-line dress since she was little, so she knew well in advance what the style would be. Her wedding dress shopping journey began in New York City. She specified that she wanted a white, strapless, corset A-line dress with embellishments. Surprisingly, the very first dress she tried on ended up being her actual wedding dress. At the time, she liked the dress but didn’t entirely love it, so she kept trying on more dresses and then left for her next appointment in New Jersey. There, it felt like she tried on a million dresses until she finally found one she fell in love with. Only later, when looking through photos, did she realize it was the same dress she had first tried on earlier that day at the NYC boutique. Knowing that her wedding dress was the very first one she tried on felt special, almost like it was meant to be, as her husband was also her very first boyfriend. To make the dress even more “her,” Andrea decided to customize it with more embellishments on the train and a slit on the right side to make it sexier and more personal. In the end, Andrea loved her dress and the alterations she made, feeling like it was made just for her and no one else.

The couple wanted the men to look clean-cut and elegant, so they had them all wear black tuxedos with white dress shirts and black bow ties. The groom had a slightly different tuxedo, while the groomsmen wore the same style of tuxedo. The groom wore black and gold cufflinks, while the groomsmen wore black and silver cufflinks.[/field]

Andrea was incredibly impressed with Valerio Ricevimenti’s catering. The cocktail hour featured an open bar, ensuring guests could freely enjoy drinks and an elegant spread of Italian hors d’oeuvres, including classic cheeses, cured meats, and bruschette. The couple’s signature drinks were the Aperol Spritz and Andrea’s favorite, the Hugo Spritz, which became a surprise hit with many guests. For the main meal, the focus was on authentic Italian cuisine, designed to be unforgettable. Guests savored tortelli with ricotta and spinach in béchamel sauce with datterini tomatoes, and paccheri with traditional beef ragout. The main course was a superb beef filet in Chianti wine sauce, accompanied by roasted potatoes and spinach. Andrea especially appreciated the attentive service, with servers offering extra portions, making sure everyone felt well-cared for. A special touch was the outdoor cigar, chocolate, and whiskey area, a delightful surprise for her husband and his friends.

The wedding ceremony was adorned with massive floral arrangements, exclusively in total white. Throughout the celebration, numerous elements featured elegant gold accents. These included the seating chart (tableau), the refined table settings (mise en place), the dazzling chandeliers, and striking mirrored gold counters. Even the stationery was meticulously designed; the menus, for instance, showcased the couple’s custom logo and were elegantly encased in a green band, sealed with gold wax.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Regarding the wedding cake, the couple desired a design that was both elegant and natural, without being overly elaborate. They opted for a classic white tiered cake adorned with cascading flowers from the top. To enhance the ambiance for the cake-cutting, they arranged for sparklers to be in the background and embellished the cake table with flowers, making it exceptionally picturesque. They also really enjoyed the champagne tower, finding it a fun activity for them to do together. In fact, one of their favorite memories involves the champagne tower. The bride’s mother’s uncle, who is quite short, was the first guest to grab a glass of champagne. When he did, he took one from the bottom, and the tower completely collapsed! All anyone could hear was a loud crash as the glass broke. Everyone looked over at the bride’s mother’s uncle, and he started dancing, and everyone else began laughing and cheering. [/field]

Since the groom’s father is a pastor, the couple knew immediately that they wanted him to officiate the ceremony. They felt that having the groom’s father marry them made it feel more personal and very special, and they wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]From the bride: Some favorite moments included walking down the aisle with my father by my side, the groom seeing me walk down the aisle for the first time in my wedding dress, sitting with my husband at the reception table with our loved ones and taking everything in, cutting the cake with the sparklers in the background, popping the champagne bottles, pouring the champagne on the glass tower and my mother’s uncle dancing when it broke making it a very funny end of the night.[/field]
