A Coastal Wedding Infused With Mocha Mousse Hues at The Ritz Carlton Amelia

Kate and Allen leaned into beach bliss with Pantone’s color of the year, mocha mousse. The couple wanted their reception to feel beachy, laidback, yet still elevated and warm. Their florals featured all neutrals and greenery that added a timeless touch.

When selecting the Ritz-Carlton Amelia as their venue, the couple chose to embody a cool coastal aesthetic. Kate & Allen love to adventure when they aren’t in the office, and this destination seemed like the perfect fit to mix sun and sand with their black-tie festivities. The ceremony was designed with effortless floral baskets, backdropped by the stunning sunset and simple cross arbor, allowing the guests to soak in the spiritual energy of the ceremony surrounded by nature.

Kate mixed whimsy with tradition when designing her gown. Featuring custom tulle sleeves and a sweetheart lace appliqué neckline, she was the vision of beachy bliss. This silhouette brought a fun modern skirt met with a romantic aesthetic that transformed into the evening with removable sleeves and a French bustle for dinner & dancing.

As mentioned above, mocha mousse was an obvious choice for the wedding color and made each of the bridesmaids look their very best! Kate’s maid of honor, her sister Shelly, popped in a champagne satin gown that let her stand out in the procession subtly.

The Ritz-Carlton showcased their very best selections of traditional entrees, with a coastal twist highlighted at cocktail hour. Guests were greeted with a 4-course menu of hit after hit.

Emily of EM Creative Floral designed a show-stopping array of floral table arrangements and installations that were a feast for the eyes everywhere guests turned. Still blending the theme of beach-chic, she created a timeless spread of whimsy that varied from table to table but still enhanced the reception space for a glamorous dinner.

Kate & Allen shared their cake cutting center of the room, surrounded by guests. Their cake featured a simple, yet elegant 5-tier design with delicate orchids thoughtfully placed around the confection.

The couple chose to share a hymn with their guests as the sun set and they received their first communion together. This moment was so special.

The couple showcased a champagne tower beside the dance floor to kick off the festivities

Kate’s parents never had the chance to share a first dance at their own wedding, so after all the formalities were complete, Kate brought her mother onto the dance floor to dedicate her bouquet and give her hand to Kate’s father for a dance.
