A Gentle Nod to Nature in This Effortlessly Elegant Lakeside Wedding

The overall vision revolved around soft elegance with a nod to nature, creating a serene atmosphere where water blues and whites bring the beauty of the lake and sky into focus. The day unfolded with a deep respect for tradition but embraced modern and whimsical touches, such as mismatched bridesmaid dresses and a laid-back yet sophisticated vibe.

Kevin proposed to Katharyne while on a trip together in New York City. Kevin surprised Katharyne by flying her family in and having her dad play “their” song in Central Park while he proposed. It was a story straight from a fairytale.

Katharyne’s gown was simple and elegant, perfectly complimenting their day and their relationship.

The bridesmaids are dressed in a collection of floral, blue-toned dresses—each unique in design but united by their shared color theme.

The reception takes place al fresco, under a canopy of twinkling fairy lights that cast a soft glow over the gathering. Long tables are set with crisp white linens and elegant dinnerware, all reflecting the sophisticated blue tones. The flowers from the ceremony continue here, perhaps scattered in glass vases, or used to decorate the long centerpieces that run the length of the tables. Soft, glowing candles add a warm touch to the scene, and the subtle breeze of the lake carries a sense of calm. The actual food served was an ode to Katharyne and Kevin’s fun nature – stone-cooked pizzas and their favorite flavors of customized ice cream. The drinks, provided in the iconic speakeasy on the venue grounds, were ‘The Annie’ and ‘The Duke’ to honor the names of their two dogs, who were incorporated throughout the day.

White and blue florals continue to play a key role, from neutral handheld arrangements near the entrance to subtle florals placed on each guest table. Greenery cascades gently over the ceremony decor and the reception tables, seamlessly blending with the natural beauty of the surroundings.

The wedding day desserts were a mixture of customized ice cream options and perfected custom cookies for each guest.

Katharyne’s father played his guitar and sang their ceremony dance song. It left all of the guests with tearful eyes.
