A Lush Garden Party Wedding with a Splash of Cabo Color

A Lush Garden Party Wedding with a Splash of Cabo Color

Whites and lush greenery, accented by small pops of color to capture that fun, vibrant Cabo vibe.

From the Bride: I envisioned a timeless garden theme accented by small pops of color to capture that fun, vibrant Cabo vibe.

During a friend’s trip to Napa, Andrew proposed at Silver Oak Winery. To my surprise, he had flown in both of our families and planned an engagement party that evening with all our loved ones.

For my wedding dress, I was looking for something timeless with a touch of flair. I chose a gown by Monique Lhuillier and added a cape for a dramatic walk down the aisle. For the reception, I changed into a two-piece set from BHLDN—something fun and comfortable that was perfect for dancing the night away. My accessories of the day were a tennis bracelet from Dallas Diamond Bar, earrings from Lauren Hope. My shoes were Badgley Mischka

For our signature cocktails, we went with a classic margarita and a club special—a popular drink back home in Oklahoma—as a nod to our roots while celebrating in Mexico. During the reception, we served Carajillos on the dance floor to keep the energy up and incorporate a fun local favorite. Since most of our guests traveled from Texas and Oklahoma, we made sure dinner featured plenty of hearty options like chicken, brisket empanadas, and short rib. For dessert, we had a churro cart with three different sauces, adding a sweet and interactive touch to end the night.

I envisioned a timeless garden theme, with a focus on whites and lush greenery, accented by small pops of color to capture that fun, vibrant Cabo vibe. Our save-the-dates and invitations were designed by Magnolia Boone Paperie, a Texas-based company, to create a fun and colorful look. We also added a personal touch with custom stir sticks featuring our pets—Finley, our Pomeranian, and Walter, our cat—so they could be part of our special day. For the reception, we had a custom, hand-painted dance floor created by The Floor is Yours. I wanted it to feature bold, bright colors to add a vibrant pop and bring the celebration to life.

Favorite moments of the weekend?
Our first look was such a special moment, and we loved walking around the venue together afterward to see the ceremony and reception spaces all set up. Since our wedding fell on Super Bowl weekend, we hosted a watch party the next day. It meant so much to have our guests stay an extra day to celebrate with us and spend more time together after the big day.
