A Micro Wedding of Monochrome Elegance and Italian Romance on Lake Como

The vision for this celebration was to bring to life the timeless elegance of a micro wedding on Lake Como. The creative direction embraced a minimalist yet refined approach, opting for a monochrome palette that would elevate the natural beauty of the venue. The floral arrangements featured green and white tones, while the couple and their guests wore classic black and white attire, creating a harmonious and sophisticated atmosphere. Though the day ended under the soft patter of rain, the warm climate allowed for an unforgettable boat tour across the lake and a joyful outdoor apéritif—a moment of pure Italian romance.

Neutral hues with a focus on green and white anchored the aesthetic of the day. A few soft, rosy touches were delicately integrated into the ceremony arch, adding a subtle note of joy without disrupting the overall restraint of the design.

The celebration took place at the iconic Villa Balbiano, one of Lake Como’s most historic and breathtaking villas. Steeped in heritage and nestled along the lakeshore, the villa provided the perfect backdrop for a wedding focused on understated grandeur and timeless charm.

The bride chose a structured princess gown by Wona Concept, embodying modern elegance with clean lines and a timeless silhouette. The fabric offered just the right amount of volume and architectural presence, making it ideal for a bride seeking sophistication without excessive embellishment. Its contemporary cut allowed her to feel poised and confident throughout the day, from the ceremony to the lakeside portraits.

In line with the monochrome theme, the guests were dressed in black, with the bridal party donning sleek, elegant gowns—also by Wona Concept—that brought a contemporary, slightly sensual edge to the overall styling. The look remained cohesive and refined, reinforcing the event’s modern-luxury tone.

The floral design, orchestrated by Botanica Event, revolved around lush green and white tones. The ceremony featured a magnificent floral arch, enhanced by subtle rosy accents that lent it warmth without overwhelming the aesthetic. The reception table was equally striking—set in white and green with beautifully twisted candles that echoed the organic curves of the floral arrangements. Each element was thoughtfully curated to reflect natural beauty with an elevated finish.
