A Multi-Day Phuket Wedding with Oceanfront Views and an Immersive Guest Experience

This multi-day celebration took place in Phuket, Thailand, across private villa settings overlooking the sea. The wedding was designed as a journey for guests, moving from a garden-inspired welcome evening to a dramatic, candlelit ceremony and an atmospheric reception that unfolded across multiple levels and spaces. The design blended a strong sense of place with elevated execution: ocean-facing vows, sculptural white florals, reflective surfaces, live music moments, and a carefully paced guest experience. While visually striking, the wedding remained deeply personal — shaped around emotion, movement, and how guests would feel in each moment.

We got engaged at Amanoi in Vietnam on our 5th anniversary, January 10, 2024. He had planned a romantic dinner by the lotus lake, and as soon as we arrived, I sensed something beautiful was about to happen. The evening air was brisk, and the wind was stronger than we expected, so the setup wasn’t quite what he had envisioned, and the dinner venue didn’t go exactly to plan. But none of that mattered. When he got down on one knee, surrounded by the serene beauty of the lake, candles, violin playing, my heart was overflowing with love and happiness. Despite the imperfect weather, it was a night I’ll never forget—sweet, intimate, and filled with joy.

Ceremony – Oscar de La Renta – The dress is a stunning, strapless ball gown featuring a fitted bodice adorned with intricate, three-dimensional floral appliqués. The floral details cascade gracefully from the bodice down to the voluminous tulle skirt, creating a romantic and ethereal effect. The overall look is both sophisticated and whimsical, perfect for a memorable and enchanting occasion. I chose timeless round-cut diamond earrings and complemented them with a stunning graduated diamond necklace, adding a touch of classic elegance to my bridal look. The necklace was very special because my father designed that piece and looked at every single diamond stone by himself. I wore a pair of Dior slingback pumps from the 2025 collection, featuring delicate laces that reminded me of the whimsical elegance of a sea monster.

From the bride: I’ve always loved Phuket—the city, the beach, the sand, and the sun. There’s something about being by the ocean that brings me a sense of peace and serenity, which is exactly how I wanted to feel on my wedding day. Getting married overlooking the sea, surrounded by the people I love and who love me, felt like a dream come true. As a Thai, it was important for me to be close to home, surrounded by the beauty and warmth of my own country. Being in Phuket, with my closest friends and family, made me feel truly loved and supported. It felt like the perfect place to celebrate such a special moment in my life. The moment I heard about Villa No. 8 at Trisara, I was immediately intrigued. When I finally saw the villa in person, I was absolutely blown away by its beauty. Standing there, I could picture myself exchanging vows, feeling completely stunned, and wrapped in the love of everyone around me. I knew instantly that this was the place I wanted to say “I do,” and I couldn’t wait for the day to arrive.

The vision for the welcome dinner was floral and garden chic. Lita was very hands-on, working closely with The Wedding Bliss team to finalize the color scheme, décor, and all the detailed arrangements for the day. We were absolutely blown away by the thoughtful touches, from the lemonade cart and colorful tables to the rooftop bar. Both Lita and I were thrilled to reconnect with so many friends we hadn’t seen in a long time. The evening was made even more special by heartfelt speeches from some of our closest friends. Rehearsal Dinner: The rehearsal dinner continued the same theme as the wedding ceremony, featuring elegant white flowers with an added touch of evening sophistication. We envisioned a spectacular entrance, beginning with a mesmerizing fire dance show, followed by a grand entrance with sparklers as we walked in to Earth, Wind & Fire’s “Let’s Groove.” I (Calvin) also surprised the bride by jumping on stage to sing “Mr. Brightside”—with absolutely zero preparation. The evening was filled with love and laughter as our bridesmaids, groomsmen, the mother of the groom, and the father of the bride delivered heartfelt speeches. After dinner, the celebration continued with an after-party on the lower level of Villa 8.
