Amelia had dreamed of getting married in her backyard since she was a child. So, when it came time to plan her wedding, only one venue would suffice: her parents’ lush garden estate! Together, they envisioned an enchanting summer celebration that blended the romantic charm of the Sicilian countryside with the timeless elegance of an English garden — and their big day certainly fit the bill.

During a night out, Amelia was out with friends when she walked into Apartment 26A and immediately started crushing on the tall guy she encountered inside. They took a few selfies and chatted a bit, but they ignored the obvious chemistry between them. Thanks to their mutual friends, their paths crossed several times a year — but the two always skirted around the connection they both felt. Five years after meeting, Amelia decided that it was time to ask Brendan out once and for all. She sent him a text at midnight on New Year’s, asking him on a date. He agreed to it immediately. After their first date, they knew there was no going back! One year later, Brendan got down on his knee and asked Amelia to marry him while enjoying a weekend away in Cape Cod.

Amelia wore a Monique Lhuillier ballgown with botanical lace and sheer sleeves for a look that balanced elegance and whimsy.

Guests convened on the lawn for a poolside cocktail hour — complete with Amelia’s Aperol and Brendan’s Bourbon cocktails — before finding their seats with the help of a “seating chart” made up of personalized limoncello bottles.

Inside the clear-top tent, string lights, greenery, and sheer ceiling swag were strung overhead for a truly magical effect. Guest tables were dressed with custom blue floral-print linens (which the designer chose to name after the bride herself!), soft garden-inspired floral arrangements, and fresh lemons for a pop of color. Gray wood chargers and personalized menus graced each place setting.

The pair’s Italian-inspired wedding cake included a decadent display of fresh berries and edible flowers.

After a traditional Italian dinner under the stars and some tear-jerking toasts, it was time to hit the dance floor! As the party progressed into the evening, Amelia and her 12 bridesmaids surprised guests with a choreographed dance to ABBA’s “Dancing Queen” — followed up by a performance of Zac Brown Band’s “Colder Weather” by Brendan and his groomsmen!
