A Whimsical Coastal Garden Soirée with a Touch of European Charm at Ponte Vedra Beach
[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]
We wanted to feature shades of pale blues, yellows, greens, and brighter pops of color like pinks, corals, and peaches

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]
The vision was a coastal garden soirée. We wanted to evoke a little bit of a European vibe with greenery, bright colors, coastal elements, and a garden aesthetic. Our planners sourced the perfect linen, the Spring Balbiano from Nuage Designs, which incorporated our color palette and added to the whimsical, Euro-garden vibe we were after. Rattan Chargers and Napkin rings added a touch of coastal elegance. Our florist covered the venue’s large wrought iron chandeliers in greenery, and they hung tiny glass orbs, which added a touch of whimsy to the overall design. We pulled bright and colorful florals into the paper goods, which featured watercolor elements, including a tiny butterfly and little shells.

My gown was Amsale, purchased from their flagship store in New York City.

For bridesmaids, we wanted to feature a mismatched look including solids and prints, in the tones of yellows and blues, to add to the garden, whimsical look. The girls were given the palette and then each selected their own dress.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]
We both love skinny margaritas, so that was our signature drink – we called it the Skinny Knockout. Then, later in the night, we opened up a room next to our reception space, and the room featured a dedicated espresso martini bar and late-night bites like pretzel bites and sliders, and fries.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]
We wanted the design to be very floral-heavy. Our floral designer used blooms like coral charm peonies, pale blue delphiniums, pink ranunculus, butter yellow stock, pink garden roses, and tiny white daisies. The floral garden vibe was on full display at our ceremony, where lush meadow pieces lined the aisle of our church. These were then repurposed for our reception room to line the stage in front of the band. Our centerpieces were a mix of locompote-style arrangements and pillar candles grouped with bud vases. Our estate tables combined the compote style arrangements, low floral cups, bud vases, and candles for a lush and colorful look. We brought in blonde bentwood chairs, honey rattan chargers, and specialty linens from Nuage and BBJ. We paired the botanical Spring Balbiano linen with the Blush Nantucket stripe from Nuage, and our cocktail hour featured the Elio Poppy linen from BBJ. Our dance floor was a wooden and white checkered floor, and we brought in a white stage facade and white bars. Paper goods featured whimsical watercolor florals, a tiny butterfly, and clamshell detailing.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]
Classic Cakes made a simple, semi-naked four-tier white cake, and we surrounded it with a lush meadow of florals and accented each tier with petite blooms.

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]
Dancing was SO important to the family – the band, Hit Factory, did an incredible job. The bride and her father danced to II Most Wanted and The Best of My Love and then all of the guests joined them on the dance floor for a few songs before dinner was served.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]
We used the bride’s parents’ home for her to get ready – it’s a stunning lakefront home with the best spots for photos and a beautiful coastal decor with light neutral tones. Perfect complement to the large wedding party and bright colors!

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]
We loved the little touches like cute matchbooks, custom cocktail napkins and signage, and the late-night espresso-martini bar.

After the wedding ended with a sparkler departure, the guests were whisked away via school bus shuttles to an after-party at Blue Jay Listening Room featuring a DJ, more drinks, and late-night snacks.
