Ashanti Stays Loyal to Tom Ford’s Padlock Heels for 2025 BET Awards Red Carpet, Takes the Stage in Thigh-high Jennifer Le Boots

Ashanti arrived at the 2025 BET Awards in a shimmering dress and a pair of one of her tried-and-true heel designs. The “Foolish” singer stepped out on the red carpet at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Monday, showing off a new curly hair style with a low-cut black dress and Tom Ford sandals.

Ashanti wore a pair of Tom Ford’s Padlock sandals in black, which she has worn in the past. The padlock-adorned sandals are made from black leather and feature golden stiletto heels and lock-and-key charms suspended from the buckled thin straps around the ankle. The sandals feature a slightly pointed almond open toe and one strap that sits across the upper.

She paired the sandals with a maxidress featuring long sleeves, a low, deep V-neckline, a ruching detail right at the hip that led to a slit at the bottom of the skirt. The dress featured small details throughout that sparkled as she moved across the carpet, making her silver and diamond jewelry stand out.

Inside, the “Always on Time” singer hit the stage in a forest green and black leather ensemble designed by Katerina Lankova. The dress featured a motorcycle jacket design with an A-line skirt, cinched at the waist by belts.

On her feet, she put on footwear designer Jennifer Le‘s Caiman II thigh-high boots in a black and blue ombre colorway. The croc embossed leather thigh-high boots are hand-cut and hand-finished, featuring heels that measure approximately 110mm. The boots have a sharp, pointed toe and a metal black back zipper.

Ashanti sang a medley of her hits at the awards show, which celebrated the 25th anniversary of the BET Awards, and had a special tribute to BET’s beloved show “106 & Park.” The ceremony was hosted by Kevin Hart and honored Mariah Carey, Jamie Foxx, Snoop Dogg and Kirk Franklin with the Ultimate Icon Award for their decades of groundbreaking contributions to the industry.
