CBS Vampire Comedy Pilot ‘Eternally Yours’ Casts ‘Never Have I Ever’ Star Jaren Lewison

Jaren Lewison is the latest addition to the cast of CBS‘ upcoming comedy pilot “Eternally Yours,” Variety has learned.

Lewison will star in the single-camera pilot alongside previously announced cast member Ed Weeks. The show was picked up to pilot at CBS in August and will begin filming in early 2026. The show hails from Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, who developed the American version of “Ghosts” for CBS.

The logline describes the pilot as, “An eternal love story about two vampires who have been married for five hundred years, and their struggles to accept the human who is dating their daughter.”

Lewison will play that human, named Max. The character description reads, “Max is a hopeless romantic who is drawn to wounded people in need of fixing. But this time, perhaps, he’s bitten off more than he can chew, in the form of his new girlfriend Emma, who is a commitment phobic vampire whose dad hates humans.”

Lewison is best known for his role as Ben in the Mindy Kaling Netflix series “Never Have I Ever.” Interestingly, that makes him the second Kaling series alum to join the show, following “The Mindy Project” star Weeks. Lewison’s film credits include “Men, Women & Children” from director Jason Reitman as well as the Hallmark feature “Away and Back.”

He is repped by Buchwald, Stride Management, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.

Should “Eternally Yours” go to series and debut next fall, it would air alongside “Ghosts,” which was renewed through the 2026-2027 broadcast season back in February.

Port and Wiseman are writers and executive producers on “Eternally Yours.” Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum, and Jason Wang also executive produce. CBS Studios will produce.
