Clairo is bringing her signature charm to a new jewelry collection.

The 27 year-old singer-songwriter has translated the quiet intimacy of her music into a new artistic medium with “Kismet,” her debut jewelry collection in collaboration with Catbird. The Brooklyn-based jeweler, known for its delicate designs and cult following among Millennials and Gen Z, unveiled the limited-edition line on Sept. 4. The partnership marks her first official foray into fashion and accessories, extending the album’s moody, ethereal aesthetic into wearable keepsakes.

The collection features understated but evocative but evocative motifs: that echoe themes that occur in her songwriting: a swan encased in translucent stone, a dagger, a night moth, a topaz tear and a bellflower. The swan, for instance, channels the subdued elegance of “Charm,” but with an edge — “some swans are a little mean or evil,” she told Nylon in an interview about the project. The dagger recalls her own sword tattoo, a more personal reference.

For Clairo, the collaboration grew out of a longtime affection for Catbird, a jewelry brand she has often gifted to friends. When the opportunity arose, she saw it not as a merchandising exercise but as a chance to create something lasting, pieces that could feel timeless rather than tethered to a single album cycle. The design process was personal and tactile; she drew on vintage pearl and mother-of-pearl pieces from her own collection, working closely with Catbird to iterate until the jewelry felt like a natural extension of her inner world.

“Charm” released in 2024 and earned Clairo her first Grammy nomination. She is currently on an international tour in support of the album. You can buy tickets here.
