Like everything else in the fashion world, sneaker styles rise and fall in popularity. While not too long ago chunky sneakers were it, the tides have shifted in favor of lower profile silhouettes—and I’m fully on board. No shade to chunkier styles but I always felt like they were overpowering on my 5’4″ frame. Since I tend to gravitate towards low profile styles anyway, I’ve officially given up chunky sneakers and will be swapping in a few new pairs to take their place.
