‘KPop Demon Hunters,’ ‘Wicked,’ ‘Sinners’ and ‘F1’ Among Honorees at Hollywood Music in Media Awards
“KPop Demon Hunters,” “Wicked,” “Sinners” and “F1” were among the honorees at the 16th Hollywood Music in Media Awards on Nov. 19 at The Avalon in Hollywood.
“KPop Demon Hunters” took home the award for best song in an animated film for their hit “Golden.” The song was preformed by the group HUNTR/X and co-written by HUNTR/X lead vocalist EJAE along with Mark Sonnenblick, Joong Gyu Kwak, Yu Han Lee, Hee Dong Nam, Jeong Hoon Seo and Park Hong Jun.
“Sinners” walked away with three awards: one for best feature film score, one for best feature film song and one for best on-screen performance. The song and performance were “I Lied To You,” preformed in the film by Miles Caton. Ludwig Göransson wrote the score and co-wrote the song with Raphael Saadiq.
Jon M. Chu won best music-themed film, biopic or musical for “Wicked: For Good” and “Wicked: One Magical Night” won in the musical performance or special program category. Meanwhile, “F1” won best soundtrack album for the film’s soundtrack from Atlantic Records.
Other notable winners included Lady Gaga and Andrew Watt, who took home best song in a TV show or limited series for “Dead Dance” from “Wednesday,” Theodore Shapiro, who won best score in a TV show or limited series for “Severance” and Simon Franglen, who won best score in a sci-fi or fantasy film for “Avatar: Fire and Ash”
