Lazoschmidl Men’s Fall 2026: Getting Physical
Josef Lazo and Andreas Schmidl built on last season’s exploration of intimacy, identity and how they are expressed through the art of dressing. Their presentation had models folding or ironing garments, or carrying them in plastic washing baskets for outfit changes. “From the moment you start getting ready in the morning, you’re already performing, projecting yourself,” Schmidl explained about the inspiration.
The duo channeled a sporty theme this season while nodding, as ever, to more intimate forms of physical exertion. A T-shirt read “Healthy Masculinity,” and there were close-fitting Lycra running shorts, leggings that showed off the briefs underneath — an integral part of the collection available in a range of vivid shades — and zip-up fitted tops. “Movement creates ideas,” said Schmidl, who is an avid runner. “There’s also the sexiness of running clothes,” he acknowledged.
Preppy polo shirts, basic T-shirts and tank tops and baby alpaca knits offered a more approachable angle, and were available in pop colors or down-to-earth gray. Shirt cuff sleeves worked alone as accessories for a statement look or under a jacket for heading straight to the office after a morning run.
Fitted or body-baring designs were intended to mix-and-match with wool overcoats and pants with high-viz strips nodding to active lifestyles. On the latter, the embellishment was strategically placed over the fly, while the workwear pants had peekaboo cutouts hiding in their rear pockets.
