Levi’s Denim Nike Air Max 95s Are Officially Coming in July — With Swoosh Jeans to Match

After Lil Yachty debuted the next Levi’s and Nike collaboration in May, the two brands have officially announced the release for their trio of sneakers and Swoosh-branded denim.

The Levi’s x Nike Air Max 95 will release in July in three colorways, making use of different shades of denim and with an accompanying apparel capsule. Nike‘s red-hot silhouette, still in the midst of its 30th anniversary, sees its upper rendered in white, black and indigo denim. The first two editions maintain a monochrome arrangement, while the third make use of light and dark washes. All three colorways also apply Levi’s signature red tag to the medial Swoosh and feature frayed edges along the upper’s wavy lines. A surplus of stitching decorates he the upper, including in a series of lines covering the toe tip.

A run of jeans and denim jacket in light wash carry embroidered Nike branding, as a small logo sits beneath the left pocket of the former piece and a large logo is on the back of the latter.

Levi’s and Nike last collaborated in 2019 on an Air Force 1 available to customize on the Nike By You platform, but their blockbuster project was a trio of Air Max 95s released with the same range of denim the year prior.

Nike has gone all-out in celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 95, and the return of a “Big Bubble” closer to the shoe’s original proportions has defined numerous releases this year, including the return of the OG “Neon” colorway. Corteiz released a “Honey Black” collaboration in April that generated quite the buzz, and another link-up with “Yu-Gi-Oh” coming later this year is hotly anticipated.

“The [Air Max 95] really looked and felt like the future when it came out, and that’s also part of what helps it stay relevant now,” Ben Solomon, a New York-based artist and filmmaker who recently created a MoMA-commissioned short film about the sneaker’s legacy, told Footwear News. “It is the best example of a design capturing the feeling of an era. It felt like Nike cracked the code when you started seeing it in the world. That is what a sneaker is supposed to look like.”

The Levi’s x Nike Air Max 95 will release July 10 through the Levi’s website and app, as well as select stores, followed by another drop July 11 on the Snkrs app. Pricing for all three sneakers is set at $225.
