Lush Blooms and Luxurious "Blooming" Chandeliers at Villa Balbiano

Since our wedding was in Lake Como, we really wanted to add some italian elements to our wedding. We wanted a luxury Italian garden look to be implemented throughout. Lots of unique aspects, but ones that will be timeless.

Kraeton and Liz got engaged on a private boat overlooking Positano, Italy. We had a surprise photographer on board to capture the breathtaking moments. Afterwards he surpised Liz with one of the nicest restaurant reservations in Positano overlooking to night lights. We knew ever since that moment we wanted to get married in Italy as well.

Sunlake Catering For our cocktail hour, we had a large spread for guests to enjoy. We had someone making fresh mozzerella live in front of guests, and they loved it. We decided to cut into a giant ball of fresh mozzerella for our cocktail hour since we were in Italy. Our specialty drinks were the Espresso Martini and a Mosco Mule (hers and his). For dinner, we had a full 3 course meal. Starting with scallops with buffalo mozzerella, then a truffle brown butter pasta, moving into a bacon raped filet. For dessert we helped make our wedding cake live in front of guests. We made a traditional Italian wedding cake – Mille foglie. Then also a dessert table. For our late night snack, we had a pizza truck come and make fresh woodfired pizza.

Lake Como Florist For our florals and decor, we really wanted to use calm earth toned colors that can be found around our wedding venue. Our venue has many lush gardens and neutral tones, so we tried to reflect that. For our ceremony we got inspiration for the famous italian garden of Giardini Pelegrini. For our reception we tried to create unique chandeliers that look like a blooming flower.

We made our wedding cake as a “show” in front of our guests. This was SO much fun!

We decided to replicate an Italian garden for our ceremony design – something that had never been done before. For our reception, the table décor and chandeliers (flowers coming out of chandelier and design) are unique and tie in many small details such as grapes on the tables, bows, and circular menus that fit right into the plate.

We cut a giant ball of mozzerella during our cocktail hour to add in a cute italian moment – and helped decorate our actual wedding cake by show cooking it live infront of guests.

I started sharing my wedding planning journey through TikTok and have created quite a following in years because of interest in our unique wedding day. It has been so much fun planning and trying to implement aspects that we will never forget.
