Major ‘Stranger Things’ Season 5 Volume 2 Details Confirmed by Creators
We’re now a few weeks removed from the highly anticipated premiere of Stranger Things 5, and the Duffer Bros. have confirmed some massive details about Volume 2. The first four episodes of Stranger Things 5 are now streaming on Netflix, and the next three episodes, otherwise known as Volume 2, will be released together on Christmas Day. After Will (Noah Schnapp) gained powers at the end of Season 5, Volume 1, fans are dying to know what happens next, and how it all connects back to Vecna. Fortunately, the Duffer Bros. are here to shed some light on the next batch of episodes.
Ross Duffer took to his personal Instagram to share an in-depth analysis of the next three episodes, including their titles. Chapter Five will be titled “Shock Jock,” Chapter Six will be titled Escape from Camazotz,” and Chapter Seven will be titled “The Bridge.” Regarding Chapter 5, Duffer says “Shock Jock picks up moments after the end of “Sorcerer” [Chapter Four]. Frank Darabont is back, but he flexes his very different muscles on this one than he did on “Turnbow Trap” — it’s far darker, and far scarier.
As for Chapter Six, “Escape from Camazotz is Shawn Levy’s return to the director’s chair. It’s the biggest episode of the three — and the performances make us cry every time we watch it.” Sounds like there may be some deaths in store for Chapter Six. Finally, for Chapter Seven, “The Bridge, we co-directed this one with Shawn. Don’t want to say too much, but aside from the finale, it’s probably the most emotional chapter of the season. It’s gonna be a long six-day wait for the finale…” He confirmed that the official runtimes will be announced soon.
When Does the ‘Stranger Things’ Finale Come Out?
The Stranger Things series finale will be released on December 31. It’s expected to be over two hours, and Netflix is even putting the finale in select theaters around the world to celebrate the end of one of its biggest shows ever. Theories and speculation surrounding the finale are rampant right now, with some saying that the show will end in a pile of bodies, and others thinking it’s all been one big game of Dungeons and Dragons. The Duffer Bros. certainly have some tricks up their sleeve that will surprise everyone when the curtains close.
