Moment ‘air scooter’ fails Channel crossing attempt

An ‘air scooter’ attempted to cross the English Channel on 25 July but fell just short, splashing down near the cliffs of Dover.
It was created by the company Zapata, whose CEO Franky Zapata piloted the flight.
His ultimate vision is to provide the “dream mobility” seen in old Hollywood films allowing users to “take off from your garden and land in your friend’s garden for a barbecue”.
