Nike ACG Formally Announces Performance-focused Relaunch

The writing has been on the wall if you’ve been paying attention to releases from Nike’s All Conditions Gear line since last fall, but the Swoosh is now making it formally known: ACG is getting a relaunch.

A sharper focus on outdoor performance defines the new era of Nike ACG, the company announced Monday. Trail running, hiking and exploration will be the primary area of focus, with the Nike Trail line transitioning to ACG as part of the development. Several new runners have been added to the All Conditions Racing Department, and ACG will begin sponsoring the Broken Arrow Skyrace and Gorge Waterfalls trail races.

“This is a defining moment in ACG’s history — a recommitment to all conditions and an invitation to athletes: unplug, get outside and explore,” Scott LeClair, vice president and general manager of Nike ACG, said in a press release. “ACG has the foundation to shape the future of outdoor performance while pushing into spaces that feel fresh and unexpected. It is going to be a fun ride.”

Nike ACG’s new direction has been tipped off with the reveal of products, including the Radical AirFlow, a shirt that went viral and which uses cone-shaped holes to cool a runner. The Ultrafly and Zegama, two existing trail running franchises, have shifted over to ACG for their next iterations. And from Nike’s big three tech reveals from last October, the Therma-Fit Air Milano jacket will sit under the ACG line and debut at the Winter Olympics while using adjustable air baffles to regulate heat.

At the 2025 Western States, one of the premier ultramarathons in the world, Caleb Wilson won the men’s race while wearing both the Radical AirFlow and ACG Ultrafly. A campaign film released to coincide with the announcement touts Earth as: “A world of endless attractions designed to truly push you beyond your bounds. A day open daily, nightly, rain or shine under one condition: you must be this wild to ride.”
