Rob Reiner: His Life and Work in Photos, From ‘All in the Family’ to ‘The Princess Bride’ to ‘The Bear’

Fans are mourning actor and director Rob Reiner, who was found dead Sunday with his wife.

Reiner made his mark as an actor on “All in the Family,” probing the generation gap of the late 1960s with his role as liberal hippie Michael “Meathead” Stivic opposite Carroll O’Connor’s blue-collar conservative Archie Bunker. Reiner then went on to direct such beloved 1980s and ’90s films as “This Is Spinal Tap” (1984)  “Stand By Me” (1986), “The Princess Bride” (1987) and “When Harry Met Sally” (1989) and dramas “Misery” (1990) and “A Few Good Men.”

Look back at the distinguished career of the actor, writer and director who was part of a Hollywood dynasty as the son of Carl Reiner and singer-actress Estelle Reiner.
