I wanted their day to reflect exactly who they are….authentic, beautiful, and wildly charming. This day felt extremely special, and all those in attendance felt the lasting impression it left. These two are so special to me, and it was an honor to plan their big day — this day will always hold a special place in my heart.

Casamigos is Robin and April’s favorite tequila, so it was only appropriate to collaborate with them to create our signature drinks…the April Love and the Big Daddy Special….a watermelon margarita and a lime margarita. Las Ventanas is well known for its culinary magic, and we were fortunate to have the most wonderful experience! Our couple wanted Italian cuisine under the stars, and it’s exactly what they got. Our guests feasted on prime rib, chicken parmigiana, and sweet potato gnocchi, and topped off our sweet tooths with tiramisu and profiterol.

Robin and April love a clean, ethereal, and highly sophisticated aesthetic…so we presented a beautiful and bold event that reflected them as a couple and enhanced the beauty of the resort. Our bride’s love for black inspired a romantic contrast against the soft sand, creating a striking yin-yang harmony. Honeycomb Affair executed flawlessly the ethereal clouds of baby’s breath with delicate roses — one of her favorite flowers — to keep the look airy, clean, and intentional. The result: a bold yet dreamy setting where elegance meets edge, and softness dances with strength. We wanted to create with Honeycomb Affair and Cabo Linens things and more, gorgeous tables with endless depth of candles, flowy textiles, and our bride’s love for bows, topped off by our beautiful menu designed by Laura Elizabeth Patrick. Our day-of signage, created by Luxe and Linen, was crafted from beautiful marble, grounding the design with a sense of permanence and natural elegance. The stone’s timeless quality anchored the ethereal elements, creating a refined balance between softness and strength.

Ceremony: Our couple met at 1OAK in Los Angeles, so it was only fitting for Richie Akiva, a close friend and the owner of 1OAK, to officiate the wedding. Our groom, accompanied by his Mother, Gloria Loring, walked down the aisle to Baja Strings playing Hallelujah, and our Bride, accompanied by her father, Patrick Geary, to Unchained Melody. Our couple saved very special seats for Robin’s father, Alan Thicke, and April’s aunt, Evelyn Duran. There were many special moments, laughs, a full rainbow, and a few sprinkles for good luck. Special Detail 1. April designed a custom locket for Robin, carefully placing photos of his father and Andre Harrell inside — a heartfelt tribute tucked into the lining of his tux, keeping them close to him on their special day. 2. Usher served as a groomsman 3. Robin sang his iconic song, “Wanna love you girl,” to April. Robin had a special dance with his daughters to “Dancing Queen” by ABBA. Robin and April first dance Can’t Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley 6. Welcome bag merch by the amazing Canvas Event Co. — Guests were welcomed into their room with a custom bag, hat, and “I survived April and Robin’s wedding weekend” and ALO bag, clothing, beauty+wellness products, and Casamigos minis!
