Romance Beneath the Light Blue Ceilings of Rosecliff Mansion

For our wedding, we envisioned a timeless, romantic, and deeply personal celebration that honored Rosecliff’s elegance—especially its iconic light blue ceiling and historic architecture.

Our love story began during the peak of COVID, proving that even in the most challenging times, love finds a way. After connecting on Bumble, our first date turned into something unforgettable—braving a snowstorm on the eve of my birthday, we met for dinner at Alcove, a cozy restaurant nearby, and then ventured outside to roast s’mores when the city was covered with snow. By our second date, Luke’s charm shone through as he surprised me with flowers and a trip to the North End. His thoughtful gestures quickly won my heart. What started as a snowy spark soon blossomed into a love story for the ages.

Our journey to the aisle was equally magical—Luke proposed at Castello di Amorosa in Napa Valley, taking me up to a tower where he had hired a photographer to capture the moment, surprising me with a table of red roses and a bottle of champagne to celebrate.

Generation Tux

The wedding day food was a playful nod to New England with lobster rolls and a Native Shellfish Raw Bar served during cocktail hour. Signature Cocktails to represent Carey, Luke, and their beloved pup Fenway were the “Carey and The City Cosmo”, “Luke’s Old Fashion”, and “Fenway’s Espresso Martini”. Blackstone Caterers also provided a Cacio e Pepe first course, followed by a choice of entree for either sea scallops or filet mignon.

We incorporated abundant candlelight, lush florals with pops of light blue, and a statement ceremony featuring a flower bar dripping with hydrangeas. For the ballroom reception, we focused on creating a breathtaking head table, overflowing with candles and flowers to fill the room with warmth and romance.
The wedding cake designed by Confectionery Designs was inspired by the design of Carey’s Ines Di Santo wedding gown.

As a personal nod to our story, we even had customized Red Sox sugar cookies for guests to enjoy.

After Carey’s dress was altered, she used the extra material to make a custom bridal jacket she wore from her first look until after their cocktail hour.
