The Open 2025: Tee-times for McIlroy, Scheffler, DeChambeau, Lowry, Rose and Fleetwood


Rory McIlroy will begin his quest to win a second Open Championship at 15:10 BST on Thursday, 17 July.

The Northern Irishman will play alongside England’s Tommy Fleetwood and American Justin Thomas in the opening two rounds at Royal Portrush.

Scotland’s Robert MacIntyre will be out at 14:48 in another marquee group with England’s Justin Rose and American Bryson DeChambeau.

Ireland’s two-time champion Padraig Harrington has the honour of hitting the first tee shot at 06:35, while defending champion Xander Schauffele is out at 09:58 and will play with US Open winner JJ Spaun and Spain’s Jon Rahm.

Ireland’s Shane Lowry, winner of the Claret Jug when it was last contested at the course in 2019, is in the following group alongside world number one Scottie Scheffler and 2021 champion Collin Morikawa.
