The Soapstone Comedy Club Debuts Mobile-First Game ‘The Last Laugh’ in Meta Horizon (EXCLUSIVE)
The Soapstone Comedy Club is launching their new mobile-first game, “The Last Laugh,” on Dec. 1 in Meta Horizon Worlds.
The comedy-fueled social game allows players to race to match patterns faster than their rivals and battle against each other in matches. Designed for players and observers, the experience combines fast-paced gameplay with humor and live performances that give players a reason to laugh or throw tomatoes.
“With ‘The Last Laugh,’ we’re opening the door for anyone, anywhere, to experience the joy of live comedy in a completely new way,” Aaron Sorrels, founder and creator of The Soapstone Comedy Club, said in a statement. “You don’t need a headset or a ticket, just your phone and a sense of humor. Our goal has always been to bring more laughter to more people, and this is the next step in making comedy truly universal.”
In “The Last Laugh,” up to eight players can compete by dodging playful sabotage from the audience, who can cheer, applaud or heckle by hurling virtual tomatoes. Players can earn Chuckle Nuggets from skillful players, audience cheers unlock laugh animations and victory dances and customizable avatars are available.
To compete, game players gather for a showdown before a pattern flash appears, where speed and memory are the focus. The rounds repeat and increase in intensity until one player claims “The Last Laugh.” The game features ongoing quests, challenges and more to create a new comedic experience at each new level.
This new mobile-first interactive social game marks the next step in The Soapstone’s mission to make comedy accessible to everyone. Designed for players ages 10 and up, “The Last Laugh” will be available on mobile and online.
