Timberwolves’ Rudy Gobert Nearly Struck by Object That Fell Off Jumbotron
The Minnesota Timberwolves are taking on the Atlanta Hawks, and the game was moving along in normal fashion. However, things got a bit dicey when Timberwolves star Rudy Gobert was shocked when he was almost struck by an object that fell off the jumbotron.
During the moment between a whistle, an object fell from he jumbotron. It was revealed to be one of the horns that is usually attached to most jumbotrons.
Gobert was a mere feet from the item that fell, which could have done some damage had it struck him.

Thankfully, the object did not strike Gobert or any other player in the vicinity. At the time of this writing, the score is currently 60-48 at halftime.
Gobert already has 19 minutes in the game, going 4-for-6 on field goal attempts, 10 points, 2-for-2 free throws, five rebounds, and two blocks. Had he been lost to injury due to the falling item, the Timberwolves would have lost a quality player.
Through the season, Gobert is averaging 10.2 points per game, 10.3 rebounds per game, 1.8 assists per game, and a 64.5 field goal percentage.
The Timberwolves have a current record of 24-21 and are third in the Northwest division of the Western Conference.
