Two children among five found dead in apparent Georgia murder-suicide

Two children and three adults have died in an apparent murder-suicide in Georgia.
Five people, including a 1-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl, were found dead in an apartment on Vineyard Walk in the east of Atlanta on Saturday evening, according to a report by Fox 5 Atlanta.
The five victims—a 43-year-old woman, 32-year-old man, 26-year-old woman, 5-year-old girl and a 1-year-old boy—were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
Fox 5 reported that police are investigating the incident as a "domestic-related murder-suicide" after being called to conduct a welfare check just before 7:30 p.m. on December 7.

Research conducted by the Violence Policy Center has found that there around 10 murder-suicides in the U.S. every week, with some 78 percent of these taking place in the home. Nearly 1,200 Americans die in murder-suicides every year, with nine out of 10 incidents involving a gun.
