Tyler, the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival Pushed Back a Weekend Due to Heavy Rains

Tyler, the Creator has announced that Camp Flog Gnaw has been postponed until next weekend, just a day before the two-day festival was scheduled to begin at Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium Grounds. This year’s festival will now take place on Nov. 22-23.

The delay was, of course, due to the heavy rains soaking Los Angeles this weekend. “Due to the fact this storm became an atmospheric rain torrential downpour we had 2 choices,” wrote Tyler on Instagram. “Cancel or move to next weekend. We chose the latter. We understand this is not ideal so we will offer refunds. For everyone else we will see you next weekend.”

On Thursday afternoon, Tyler took to Instagram to explain that he was doing everything in his power to ensure that Flog Gnaw would still take place, although it was unclear how those efforts would ultimately unfold.

“The storm this weekend took a turn,” he wrote. “We are working on solutions that keep everyone safe and protects the experience. I’ll have an update tomorrow.”

This will be Flog Gnaw’s 11th year. The event is scheduled to feature headlining performances from Tyler as well as Childish Gambino and Doechii. Some acts that were initially announced are no longer featured on the new lineup, including Sombr, Clairo, Tems, 2 Chainz (with Larry June & the Alchemist) and Don Toliver. Most artists included on the lineup remain.

The festival will be particularly notable for Donald Glover’s Childish Gambino, as he postponed and then canceled the remainder of his North American farewell tour in Oct. 2024 to “focus on my physical health.” This marks a return to the stage for Gambino, as the tour was touted as his “final” trek and that he planned to retire the moniker.
