Ahead of Courrèges Spring/Summer 2027 presentation, the brand sent sunglasses as invitations to guests. Why? It marked the start of a bright new era for the label. It was the debut collection from Drew Henry, a former Phoebe Philo protégé who joined Courrèges as creative director in March.

Henry's Courrèges SS27 collection was fun and colorful, simply put. There were sheer-paneled mini dresses, cool layered tanks, and lace-up trousers. Of course, throw in playful appliqué and embellishments, plus a perfectly spring-y palette of lime green, pastel blues, and citrus oranges.

Courrèges SS27 still had that 1960s futuristic space-age feel that's so deeply embedded in its DNA. Admittedly, though, it was a bit more wearable. And perhaps that's the point.

At the brand's re-see, Highsnobiety got a closer look at the collection's killer details and accessories. Really, hats off to Courrèges SS27 headwear (they're so good, you'll want to keep them on and wear them, actually).

It featured slouched, oversized hats in a variety of colorways, like royal blue and matcha green. They were accompanied by matching low-heel, low-sole leather ankle boots.

That brings me to another great highlight: the shoes. Courrèges revealed furry and feathery mules, ballet flats (both single- and multi-strapped), and wedge loafers. No flip-flops, but there are a few cutesy thong heels with bows.

Looks like the toes will be still be on the loose next season.

We never know what the future holds, especially in this ever-changing fashion landscape. But Henry's Courrèges is off to a promising start, with killer hats and shoes to lead the way.
