Western Romance and Wildflowers in a Chic All-Black Dress Code

The last name of the wedding couple was “Black” so each of the guests dressed in black for the wedding day. Bridesmaids wore yellow in a nod to the beautiful wildflowers that sprinkled the surrounding mountains. All white flowers with yellow accents, like daisies, cosmos, and Queen Anne’s lace.

“We had plans to visit friends in NYC before a family wedding we were going to in New Jersey that weekend. I used to live in NYC so my husband knows how much I love the city and how special it is to me, so he figured it would be the perfect place to propose. He was able to keep it a surprise by letting me think I was planning out the whole trip myself, but he was conspiring with my NY friends for months to orchestrate the whole thing. One of my best friends is an artist and she told me she was having a show one night at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens… little did I know there was no art show and instead when we got to the gardens I was brought to a beautiful bridge where my now husband got down on one knee. I was completely surprised and in even more shock when another one of my best friends (who happens to be a wedding photographer too) popped out of the bushes to photograph the whole thing! We then went to celebrate after at the Italian restaurant Cecconi’s in Dumbo and then with a night out in Manhattan! It was perfect!”

The wedding gown is Lee Petra Grebenau found at the bridal salon NWLA Bridal. The stylist Ceren Jenna assisted with finding the perfect gown. I just started my bridal styling brand called Love in White Styling. I loved the process of putting together my wedding wardrobe so much that I wanted the opportunity to help other brides, too!

Private vows occurred on the mountaintop between Brittany and Sean before joining their family and friends at The Chapel at Beaver Creek for their full wedding ceremony

Custom monogramed napkins and matchboxes were included as guest gifts as well as leather cowboy boot keychains to match the western theme.

Custom horseshoes were curated as both a gift and place card at each of the tables
