Osgood Perkins follows up his 2023 horror hit Longlegs with the horror comedy The Monkey, produced by James Wan (The Conjuring) and based on the short story by legendary horror author Stephen King.
Twin brothers Hall and Bill Shelburn have spent most of their lives being haunted by a toy monkey, which has seemingly killed everyone they love, including their parents. Years pass, and the two have become estranged from one another. Hal is now a divorced dad, who upon reconnecting with his also estranged son, discovers that the toy monkey has returned, and he believes that Bill may be behind its re-emergence.
