When Whimsy Meets White Tie at a Carousel Filled Celebration of Love

Choosing vibrant, funky, and funny colors made the wedding truly unforgettable!
The wedding had an elegant, formal vibe that perfectly reflected the couple’s colorful, funky energy, where the carousel stole the spotlight, second only to the newlyweds.
The proposal took place on the beautiful island of Madeira, where the groom was born. He had nervously traveled with the engagement ring, worried the whole time that his girlfriend might suspect something. As the sun set in a breathtaking display, he got down on one knee—but it took her a full three minutes to realize, as she was too busy taking photos of the stunning view!

The bride, in love with the elegance of classic lace dresses inspired by Grace Kelly, already knew exactly what she wanted. The choice was easy—one trip to Kleinfeld in New York City was all it took to find the dress of her dreams by designer Reem Acra, which fit her like a glove. Her veil held a deeply personal touch: the word “Avó” was delicately embroidered in honor of her beloved grandmother, who sadly is no longer with us.
The bridesmaids’ dresses were carefully chosen to reflect the colors of the flowers and décor—yellow, pink, blue, and green—all different, yet perfectly complementing one another.
For the groom, the choice was simple—a tailor-made Hugo Boss tuxedo.

Traditional Portuguese dishes took center stage at the wedding, with two main courses that were simply essential. Drinks didn’t fall short either, with signature cocktails adding a special touch to the celebration.
The wedding décor was thoughtfully curated, featuring lush green installations hanging from the ceiling, silk and velvet lampshades in various shapes and colors, and exquisite Ginori plates as the table’s centerpiece. Delicately arranged flowers—including the bride’s favorites, peonies and ranunculus—added the perfect romantic touch.
The wedding cake followed the same elegant and timeless design—a giant, single-tier creation over one meter in diameter, covered in smooth buttercream and generously topped with fresh raspberries.
