Allen was visiting the Bay Area with his youth basketball team for a championship game when Greg, who knew Shante and her cousin, asked if they could show Allen around San Francisco. Shante remembers pushing back on the idea of playing tour guide for a stranger, but eventually agreed. After that visit, Allen and Shante became “sports friends,” keeping in touch over the years with the occasional call or text to talk trash about each other’s teams. This playful back-and-forth continued until Allen began developing feelings for Shante. By 2016, the two were officially dating. Shante moved to Los Angeles, and not long after, they discovered they were expecting a baby. Their love story began to unfold alongside the start of their growing family, and a few years later, Allen proposed on Christmas Eve.[/field]

Dinner was held inside the Estate Cave, with its unique barrel-vaulted ceiling for a romantic and glamorous setting.
