Kate Middleton’s Royal Rewears Through the Years
Kate Middleton has made a number of fashion statements and set various trends since joining the British royal family in April 2011. Among the various looks she’s fashioned, eagle-eyed royal watchers and fashion aficionados have noticed the Princess of Wales will often repurpose looks she’s worn in the past.
Recently, Kate rewore a black and white houndstooth dress by Zara for a trip to Wales on Jan. 30, 2025. The Princess of Wales first wore the dress, which features long sleeves, a belted waist and lavallière detailing at the neckline, in January 2020. The Royal also wore the Zara dress for events in October 2021 and April 2023.

McQueen Green Tailored Coatdress
Kate Middleton wore her tailored McQueen green coatdress during a trip to Northern Ireland alongside Prince William on Oct. 14, 2025. She’s worn the coat several times in the past, including for Christmas Day services with members of the British royal family on Dec. 25, 2022, at Sandringham Church in Sandringham, Norfolk.
Emilia Wickstead Butter Yellow Dress
The Princess of Wales joined her husband, Prince William, for a Buckingham Palace garden party on May 20, 2025 wearing an Emilia Wickstead butter yellow dress with long sleeves. Middleton previously wore the same frock in June 2022 for the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee. Middleton’s Platinum Jubilee look was the top-searched style according to data from fashion e-commerce aggregator Lovethesales analyst Hussain Ul-Haq.
Zara Black & White Houndstooth Dress
During a 2020 visit to Bradford in January 2020, pictured left, the Princess of Wales debuted this Zara black and white houndstooth dress with a belted waist and a lavallière. Kate’s repurposed the dress several times, most recently during a visit to a children’s hospice center in Wales on Jan. 30, 2025.
White Barbara Casasola Off-the-Shoulder Dress
Kate Middleton wore this Barbara Casasola at the Art Fund Museum of the Year event in 2016, pictured left, and at the UK-based charity Action on Addiction gala dinner in 2019.
