TV tonight: a very moreish drama about a hellish birthday party

The Party

9pm, ITV1

So far, this Luke Evans and Sarah Solemani-starring drama has been ticking all the right boxes for an entertaining autumn thriller. Now that we know the true messed-up history behind journalist Martin (Evans) and Tory politician Ben’s (Tom Cullen) friendship, the nasty, destructive repercussions are about to unravel at the party – which is terrible for the guests, but very enjoyable for us. Concludes on Monday. Hollie Richardson

The Reluctant Vampire

6.40pm, BBC One

This macabre comedy – adapted by the Gibbons brothers from Eric Morecambe’s books – can’t quite figure out whether it’s a Ghosts-a-like series for adults, or something better suited to CBBC. Still, it’s rather fun: this week, Val (Lenny Rush) hatches a plan to sneak out to a school prom. Hannah J Davies

Kevin McCloud’s Classic Car Road Trips

8pm, Channel 4

Plummy-voiced smoothie McCloud parachutes out of Grand Designs to careen around Europe in a rotating circus wheel of classic cars. There’s something comfortingly old-fashioned about this genre of telly: posh boys playing at being petrolheads. This week’s old banger is a Citroen DS from the 60s which he takes to Cannes and Monaco. Priya Elan

Wilderness With Simon Reeve

9pm, BBC Two

Mongolia is the last leg on the adventurer’s tough tour, which he says is six times bigger than the UK but the world’s least populated country. He starts in the Gobi desert before searching for the snow leopard in the Margaz mountains and meeting an ancient community that hunts with eagles. HR

Apocalypse

9pm, Channel 4

The reality series where two tribes tussle to survive in a deserted US town reaches its penultimate instalment. With the factions at peace, posh influencer Freddie and psychologist Kiera find flirty common ground. But drama-loving chef Dean is keen to stir things up with something he calls “Operation Badger”. Later … With Jools Holland

10pm, BBC Two

Two greats are remembered at Ally Pally this week: Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi chats about Ozzy Osbourne, as well as his first solo LP in 21 years; and Jools celebrates Amy Winehouse on the 20th anniversary of Back to Black. Music comes from rock duo Royal Blood, contemporary cellist Ayanna Witter-Johnson, drummer Moses Boyd and experimental popper Shygirl. HR

Live sport

Premier League Football: Leeds v Man United, 12.30pm, Sky Sports Main Event Nottingham Forest play Arsenal at 4pm. On Mon, Tottenham play Coventry at 6.30pm.

Women’s Super League Football: Man City v Brighton, 1.15pm, BBC Two At Joie Stadium.
